Weather looks fairly settled for the coming weekend although not too warm. We're thinking about looking for somewhere to anchor overnight on Saturday within about 25 miles west of Watchet. Any suggestions? Or anyone fancy meeting up out there?

With the Neap tides on the weekend you could nose into Watermouth cove and stay afloat at anchor if you dont go in too far. OK in most winds except fresh North Westerly.
Porlock Bay is very scenic but a swell can roll into the bay if any North in the wind.Avoid Porlock completely completely in a strong NE ly
The Gower offers several anchorages but well outside 25 mile Radius.
Would be great to meet in an anchorage somewhere but Im working part of the weekend.

That would be a nice trip but at the moment I've got this awful vibration from the prop' shaft so can't exceed about eight knots without worrying about damage. Can't afford a haul out either at the moment. Very annoying as had the prop overhauled and all new bearings and shaft seals. We'll probaby be somewhere around Foreland point or Porlock or Watermouth. I'll be happy to get out of the marina!
