Not used it. The NavMan version is very good however. How much is the flow scan kit?

Had one on my Nimbus 320 fitted with Yanmar 4LHA 240hp. Installed it myself. Excellent piece of kit, very accurate. Takes quite a while to install. Interfaces with GPS to give liters/mile.

Navman have recently stopped selling the Diesel flow kit. They are rebranding as Northstar so it may be it will be relaunched but no-one seems to know. Just tried to buy one...!

As a matter of interest I have a brand new dual Floscan system in the box that i never installed.

If anyone is interested in one at £1000 off retail then PM me.

I've had an analogue Flowscan for ten years and it is accurate to within a couple of percent. I believe the latest versions are easier to install as they have no dampers in the fuel lines.
Gludy's offer sounds very good!

Christ, how much are they to start with????

The Navman one (which is now apparently unavailable) was only £700 retail

And it worked very well with volumetric senders on both the delivery and return lines.

They are expensive

A new pair that can cope with up to 700hp or so engines with the GPS link so that you get a live mpg and the replacement tacho etc costs about £2500. These are the new easy to install type complete with a very clear DVD on how to install.

Ok, so it is the engine power that is the main difference - the NM ones can only cope with 400Hp per engine.

Still, speed etc etc all taken from NMEA so not really an option that you should have to specify.

£2500!!!! And I thought the NM ones were pricey at £750 to start with.

Do the Nm ones also measure the return?
Its some time now since I dealt with this and chose the Floscan, so I am going from memory.
