enormous archive of all sorts of craft, and there's quite a few chaps on the forum that are well up on WWII/dunkirk etc

try the national maritime museum at greenwich as they have a large collection of admiralty records, particularly useful for researching wrecks. Although you will have to apply for a readers ticket. They have a web site so try googling them.
