Was cruising down stream from Romney to Old windsor on Sunday watching the police boats and helicopters patroling due to George W being at Windsor castle. Weather was lovely, river conditions good and the good lady and younger son sat on the front enjoying the day. Suddenly from behind a small red speed boat, with outboard and flying a large pirate flag came flying past me causing enough wash to make my wife to have to grab hold of the boy and to throw the Birchwood from starboard to port like she has never rocked before. hmmmmm I managed to snap a pic as he flew up the river after passing us but fairly bad quality. Can't upload it from here. The good lady decided she would rather I did not attempt to chase him up the river and ruin our Sunday :-(
Anyone else see him

Was in Windsor this weekend and although I don't recall that one, we did see a few Knobs trying it on. After the Triathlon had finished a red RIB with "Old Windsor Life Guards" written on the side seemed to get the urge to turn up the throttle a few times. We were moored on the Brocas meadow side and got the same violent rocking from the huge wash as you did. He wasn't rescuing anyone, but after that it wouldn't have surprised me if he needed to rescue someone from his own stupid antics!! The second knob we saw was in a largish white speedboat hitting the throttle and spinning his boat around in circles near the racecourse to impress his equally empty headed mates!!

Thats the guy lol, he had a kiddie with him, unfortunately the Thames Valley Police Launch and the inflatable with two police officers in it had gone by the time he started tearing up and down, George W having left by Helicopter 30 mins earlier. Also saw the the EA Launch that day, never seen the river so well populated with officals. I thought it was nice of them to be keeping an eye on my mooring for me in case the River levels rose suddenly
Thankfully my youngest did not fall overboard and apart from a broken glass inside no damage was done, although anything living on the banks must have though the floods were back

If you got close to his boat then maybe you'll see the rest of the missus's family down below. Perhaps thats why he's going so fast, sneeking the family into England

I presume at least one of you eagle-eyed people was able to get the name of this boat, which, of course, as a condition of his licence is writ large on each bow and the stern?

I snapped this clown on the way to Bray on Saturday afternoon, and I was doing more like 6mph, although with no wash worth mentioning.
He was hammering along...'KAIKOURA' you have been named and shamed

He was moored behind me and i was too busy grinning at the lock keeper to notice any names
Actually he launched just after chertsey , just at the end of the camp site so it would have been Penton hook where he was told about his wash and bought a licence . I assume if the EA want to follow it up it was a Saturday afternoon no more than two months back . It was about 3 o clock i think and he was asking if he could get to Windsor and back before the lockie knocked off
I think we are better trying to get pics of him just for the laugh . Trust me it is very funny .

I find it strange re all the chit/chat that goes on re the "Bray/ Penton Hook" area. You guys need to get above Iffley/Kings and really chill.

This weekend was the worst we have seen in the last year, in terms of idiots and speeders.
And for once, we were not participating

Getting pictures might be funny but when some idiot comes past that quickly that it snaps your mooring post in half and all the EA have to say is " unless we have some sort of evidence we can't do anything" you don't catch me laughing alot. These stupid people should be given more than a telling off, how I don't know. Any ideas?

You would have thought so but the EA did not want to know.
