Anyone know if these davits are any good (horse shoe davit system third item down)? I was going to fit snap davits but came accross these and thought they might give a bit more flexibility (carry any tender/rib) and avoid the need for gluing etc. Boat is a Fairline Targa 35.Thanks.

Found the davits on a US website, and made my own using pics as a guide line. I attach mine with a split pin system to the bait/fishing table frame on the swim platform. works fine, but still need some refinement as "the duck" gets to get caught in the initial wake overflow onto the swim platform as we go up on the plane. Cost was far less to build. But to import from the states to here in Australia, was still cheaper than buying from dealers here. Peter

I looked at these butthought I didnt want that at the back of the boat when the tender is not on.
After a lot of looking around I went for these .cfm]clicky
go under weaver then inflatable
You can add a quick release plate so when not inuse you have a small 3 inch plate atthe back of the platform.
Mine should be here today

Thanks for the reply - I did wonder about getting some fabricated locally as they seem a bit steep for what they are.

Know what you mean about how they will look with no rib in the platform. I was thinking I would take them off as they only have a single bolt to remove.
