I was wondering if there was any interest in a steel boat forum, Power and Sail, to discuss the peculiar charms of the genre? I am sure if there was enough interest our esteemed moderators could be persuaded to give it try. (Also posted on PBO Forum)

You could start by thinking up the sub-sections that make up such an illustrious forum. You already have one...
Rust never sleeps Rust in peace I rust need to buy some more paint Steel away for the weekend
Any more?

How about "Steel, Aluminium, Ferro and others"? Would be a great alternative forum.

Sounds sensible, although I don't know what "the others" would be! BaSically a very practical hands-on grouping.

"Others" allows creativity!
My apologies for missing wood. I wish there were more wooden boats made these days. Such a nice environment to be inside.

I think we should have a forum each, then we would not be arsed with stupid questions and tales about boats we have no interest in.

Fair enough. I was thinking about a bit of cement on alu action! etc...
Noting that some forums here are a little light, maybe a more encompassing one would be more active, and more interesting. "My hull is better because"... etc.
Standing on the shoulders of others (whilst occasionally having a small wee) and all that....

I surely missed them, otherwise I wouldn't have forgot such a lovely vessel! ...though judging by the last pic, you should ask Magnum to teach you a thing or three re.fenders...
