Jez if you look at a gallery picture you don't see the "next" or "previous" picture options unless you happen to hover on the appropriate part of the picture. Should be down next to the X for exit the picture imho.

Jon.

Seadave, thanks for that. no idea what it means but I will get my developer to look at this page. Doesnt sound very good anyway.

Haggerstoner - I quite agree. It is a bit hit and miss if you see it. A bit too much design over function.

All good comments so far, thanks for being so constructive it really is very useful.

There's something odd going on when I hit refresh, or enter the site for the first time (Vista, IE7, fairly powerful quad-core box).

I see this:

Then, if I click in the left of the top area, or press "news", it all sorts itself out...

The archive entries all state "Posted by Jez Banks" which makes it look as though it is just you on your own running the whole thing. Even if this is the case (and I don't know whether it is or not) you might want to avoid the appearance of being a one-man band, perhaps by not stating who posted these items.

And not nearly enough zoom on that foredeck picture.

Its a new sites, and all the news items were transposed across from the old one in one go, hence all having the same dates.

Agree with you about future postings. I think I will make it a generic name - posted by Westline for example.

Jez, on the 'About' page, how about a small pic of you and Chris beside your name and phone numbers, that way people can see who they are talking too!!

Also the contacts page, if you TAB through the form, the text wants too start halfway through the message box.

Like it though.

Cheers

Al.

Now we dont want to go putting people off do we?

Seriously, its a good idea, and I think I might expand that section to give a bit of history about us as well.
