...in my book was Simonjk's forecasting. He got it right from his very first forecast on Tuesday and the ongoing refinements proved to be just about spot on. Other forecasts I was tracking generally underestimated the wind strength.

totally agree... all the forecast i got gave 4 maybe 5. but simon was spot on with his 5/6.

Maybe Simon can come and work for the Spanish Met office. Alicante/Valencia forecast for Saturday was 2-3 with breezes in the afternoon. Got 3-4 until around 6pm when we were heading back to Denia off Cabo San Antonio when it blew up to 30+ Knots. Breezes!
