Anyone like to make an offer on a piece of Sealine's biggest shite
I think i have finally had it with this boat
I have not had one holiday where something hasnt gone wrong to affect what should be a pleasant experience..
Sealine....Volvo and so many of their suppliers produce so much crap it shouldnt be allowed....but we as boaters say...
Oh its all part of boating
[--word removed--] that....
I'm off to find another hobby where i wont get stressed on holiday

Sorry to hear that and I do sympathise. Maybe you just need some help to get all these issues sorted? Or maybe just have a break like us and buy another boat.

really sorry to hear that Doug and I hope the sun shines again on you soon
Seeing as I have now changed neighbours I can confirm I know of a Brand New Sealine SC35 ( the hard top one) now a little over a year old that has also been a pup. Leaked more than an open top one and the leaks went all the way through the boat.
it was from Peters which apparently meant no warranty, sealine were reluctant to get involved as Peters had done a deal to deal with warranty claims and then went bust leaving this owner high and dry.............only not so dry !
I didnt see the boat used once, either to sleep on or cast off, it was a real pup.

We had a Sealine 34 some years ago. Everything was fine for the first two years but then every time we went out to sea something broke or leaked. I stress that this was many years ago, so things may have changed. All I can say now is that our experience with our new Princess V45 has been stunning. Nothing seems to be too much trouble out here in Puerto Banus. (More on this next week when I get my internet connection sorted and a new laptop cos this one does nasty things to me!)

Mark. I should have walked away from this boat two years ago but allowed the dealer and Sealine and Volvo to "play the game" I wish the budget would allow me to walk away and find another boat...
Pete Not sure that can be correct....IMHO.... Sealine as the original builders must have some (lots) of responsibilty.......thats a bit like them saying we fit Volvo engines but we arent responsible for them after they are fitted....or the canopies (FOUR!!!!!) that leak,,,,,,, from that fittings in the boat replaced that are now clearly visible......or the engine that throws oil around the engine bay.....or the hull that leaks....the owners manual that arrived six months after delivery.....stainless steel fittings that go rusty,,,,,,,, and from that gel coat that has been polished so hard its discoloured......a radar arch that has twisted....
bored now
[--word removed--] off Sealine, Volvo and Burton Waters Pissed of with all of you

I have to say you have been very patient!
Not surprised you have lost faith. I do not believe the Values secondhand are holding up either. What are you going to do with her!!
Not a good experience for you at all.
Cheers
Paul

It was the owner of the SC38 (typo error previous) that told me this.
I know it didnt make sense but he said that Peters had done a deal to get cheap sealines and that Peters had agreed to handle warranty issues.
aS A RESULT he waited and waited for help. Eventually I saw a couple of guys with a hose pipe around and in his boat but this was months of the season wasted. And the issues were not resolved the last time we spoke.
I admire your bravery in speaking out Doug.
cheers Pete

If your talking about a volvo agent then I can't believe it. They have been fantastic help over the years for me. Sorry they never worked out for you.
