Approach to Falmouth
      #1943859 - 29/07/2008 22:09

Last weekend it was littered by badly marked gear, probably private, also a new one, plastic coke bottle with fish twine tied to neck , inocent looking but fixed to stouter line, luckly able to cut stout line after a struggle. New one on me. beware of soft drink bottles now.

Do you remember the days of the Icelandic Cod War??

The Icelanders had a paravane (like the Naval mine cutting paravanes) that cut the trawl warps of the Grimsby/Lowestoft trawlers.

Just thinking......... especially around St.Anthony area.
