Almost certainly - when HMS Duke Of York finally sank her after an epic battle, Admiral Fraser remarked to his men that if they were ever to take command of a ship, they should conduct themselves with the same courage and dignity as that displayed by the skipper of Scharnhorst.
Obviously a raggie!
