Hello all .
Went to Conway Marina in North Wales to day . Met a chap geting ready to go cruising , lovely boat Freedom 40 Cat rig, showed me and the girls around, very nice . Anyway he said that he was off to the Med again Asked where he would winter next year . Suprising answer. Bayrut Lebanon .Said it has a Large clean and cheap marina, could keep a 40ft yacht there with all services . Aprox £750pa. He said that he has lived in this part of the world for the last 5years and no local bother , no fighting ,the local very friendly, everyone tring to build a new life.

Either cant get insrance or its very expensive

Not my insurance..Its all the others..Who pays when theres an accident..cause its never my fault <G>

Used to work out of beirut in the 70's, great place, I will be going there again when I get to that end of the med, I've heard very good reports.From many sources.
