East coast sailors
      #2049203 - 01/11/2008 15:46

Hi,

Having scrapped the idea of buying a mini transat and ending up buying a she27 im looking to meet some like minded people on the east coast. Im thinking about doing the jester and am looking to do some shorthanded sailing in the spring. If possible I would like to do some passages in the company of another boat, possibly to belgium or holland. I am based in walton on the naze. My freind simon went to the east coast meet and is currently constructing a trimaran for possible use in the next jester. The problem with this is that the tri is going to be at least three times quicker than me on the she! I could leave walton for oostend at 0400 and he could leave at 1300 and still get there before me!

Also I am keen to have a look at any boats which have gone through the process of being adapted for single handing, and some advice on starting this process on my boat.

Thanks

James
