Good Morning! Is there anybody out there who knows about a source for weather statistics for European waters? Eg. what is the prevailing wind direction an force in a certain month and in a certain place/region.
I know I tried this one about a year ago, with no results!

Look here
http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/climate.htm
choose your place and then click over "History", you may then choose the kind of statistics you want and the relevant period; not exactly a pilot chart but it may be of some help

It's called a Routing or Pilot Chart, published by the US Navy or the Ukho. One chart for each month with prevailing winds and conditions, a likelyhood based on many years of observations and records. They cover all oceans. Good stuff, but the patterns are changing a little.....

Probably already replied to this in the other post but Visual Passage Planner has wind and current pilot data ( directions, strengths, calms and gales ) for the world on a 1 degree grid - you can overlay it onto the charts or view it as you mouse over an area.
