Sailing back from the Walton Backwaters to Brightlingsea at the weekend, saw about 20 VERY poorly marked pots. Very smooth sea state, so no dramas, and it gave our daughter something to do!! Most were very small orange floats, a couple were 5 litre white plastic bottles, none were marked with flags. This was our first time along the Wallet this season, we usually take the 'scenic route' through the Spitway and round the outside of the Gunfleet to avoid the annoyance of jet skis and power boats out from Clacton and Jaywick!!
