48 p a litre. thank heavens I live in cowes where it is 26p from the fuel barge.
I paid .70 euros in Cherbourg, for white diesel, which is about 49p. So I guess that the West country has joined the EU and not told the rest of us!

Interesting ! I tried to fill up in Salcombe on the 21st and even though the OPEN sign was showing they had no power to their pumps so I had to make a dash to Dartmouth and back before I ran out of water. Fuel barge there charged me "only" 44p - I must have looked more scruffy than you did.

if you fill up at Dart Marina as long as you buy 100 litres + its 37p thats still 13p dearer than Warsash.

Yes and what's even sillier is that for over 100 litres it's only 27p at Torquay. Don't know why all boaters on the Dart/Salcombe don't just pop round there to fill up.

I'm glad I installed MF's 45 gallon oil drum. Might even upgrade it to something even bigger. It means that I can bypass extortionate priced Salcolmbe, but also negotiate better prices else where.
No one can force me to come here. I'm a volunteer!!.
