Anybody able to shed some light on why my A: drive starts chattering when I click on the "Qualified to sail? " thread in the Liveaboard Link forum?
I start to worry when these things happen.
Dave.

Total coincidence I suspect.
It opens perfectly normally for me

Its every time and only that one, even after rebooting...
Oh well, not much else happening though.
Cheers.

Truly strange. There are no commands in a thread that can access a disk drive - least none that I know of.
I've hit the notify moderator button, so hopefully someone will take a look at the thread tomorrow, but I shouldn't worry, if anything was trying to access my computer from that thread, there'd be sirens blaring, and nothing is showing at all.

ooh err. I didn't believe it so I clicked on the thread. My floppy drive burst into life. How weird. I'm running zonealarm also just run spybot. Nothing untoward was found. I'm running windows 98, altough it has got a few craked panes and has been updated in tha last few days.

Now that is really interesting. Nothing showed up on my computer at all - no access to a: drive and no alarms. Do firewalls block that without notifying?

Nothing sinister.. its just the webpage telling your computer to access your A drive. It doesnt go through the internet and nobody else can see your A drive.
