Are you sure its the third. I thought it would be the fourth. Anyway budget for four in my herd. Will be having a blast out and about in the morn as the wife says its the only boating do where the boats don't get used. I, of course, don't argue......it more than a peaceful life is worth!
Steve, theres no anonymous alco's in Wareham. I know them all

Unfortunately we cannot be there as we have double teenagers 18th B'day bash on the 1st and we have to be in Scotland on the 2nd for sailing course on 3rd. Have fun and we will catch you all another time. We will probably be at LIBS in January.

I should point out the traditional nature of the organisation of this event, which has developed many customs over the years. It is not customary to start organising the finer details until the thread has passed 1000 messages

it'll be in between the pub opening.... and the pub closing.
but you'll need to get here early if you're bringing your boat. just thinking it'd be better to raft from yours rather than the other way round.
just realised i'm replying to brendan.... doh!... (meant for rumtigger)
see ya, steve.

Only 1000 posts, standards are slipping. As to finer points........umm yeah right. Thought the idea was to ahve a meeting of like minded souls for a sort of end of season bash, well those that have an end of season. Now back to the little book of knots so it looks like I know what I'm doing when mooring.

As a relative new-boy, I was prompted to ask whether there were any longer threads than the current hunting debate on Scuttlebutt and was directed to your first Wareham threadathon. Most amusing I must say and by all accounts and pics, a bloody good thrash! Wish I could join you but unfortunately I've got go to a conference all about S-H-one-T in the 'States. Trust you'll let a raggie join you for the fourth one . . . Have a good one !

Any chance of a last minute extra if I can get a pass from her indoors?
What's the state of the tide, could I get my P 315 up there (draft 3ft)? and is there anywhere to moor. Alternatively could stay in Poole and get a taxi.

If it's a F5 hoolie across Poole Bay then no thanks, Brendon. My stomach will be in enough trouble come Sunday. If, however, it's flat calm and 25degC then "Oh thanks, Brendan! That would be brill!!!!"

I will have to admit to not having the slightest clue what we are doing that weekend at the moment.............. Some negatives are however a little clearer - for example WE won't be overnighting on Wareham Quay; (I might).
Sorry to be vague

I know its a bit early to rely on the forecasts, but for the sat the forecast is saying bright/sunny periods 18 degress with 10% chance of precipitation wind from the south force 1-2. Whats the chances of it staying that way!

Absolutely zilch once Neptune hears we are organising a meet!
I'm prepared for F5 from Lymington just like last year, and bitterly cold with hat and gloves for Sunday on the way back....again just like last year (first day of winter when I need those!)
