I'm in.
It all got a bit complicated last time, didn't it?
A suggestion (I'm open to others)-
Get to a central southern location (Portsmouth?) by boat or other transport by 11am ish Sat; make up some girl only crews on a couple of boats for a quick afternoon blast;meal and lots of drink evening- with partners if you want;kip on available boats or b&b; disappear after hangovers Sun am. Maybe not a perfect plan, but it's the simplest I can think of that involves both boats and booze and minimises away time from sprogs/work etc.

And goodness knows you need to keep it simple if there's not going to be any men around to explain anything more complicated.

how about a saturday night at the folly inn? can leave sat lunch time and be back pre lunch time sunday. good food/beer/dancing on the tables!
or would people prefere to be mainland?

Folly would be fine for me- I'd be boatless, but could go and stay the night at my Mums who lives 10 minutes taxi ride away so freeing up space for others who needed berths, if necessary. Dates?

Might be quite good- I'm thinking of doing a Coastal skipper course Mon-Fri 4-8th April, maybe in Portsmouth area, so I'd be around. And it's my birthday on the 6th- you can help me drown my sorrows!!!

56 according the bio. I think jimi should buy nice flowers, a card and a cake to cheer up phanakapan as penance for asking people how old they are which is a bit rude really.
btw, jimi is 58, so not too bad.

You can calculaute some ones age using the following formula
A = P+M + YA +W+(nb*10)-(B*11)
A = Age P = Years on the Planet M= Mental Age YA = Years of Alcohol Abuse W = Years married nb = 1 if no boat 0 if boat owner B = Years as boatowner

hm, what a rubbish formula. 44+7 +10+17+0- 99
I gave myself a mental age of 7, as i still think it is quite fascinating to set fire to bee's wings as they whizz up and down the window, and have recently installed a full size ping pong table in the kitchen. I don't realy think any stinkie can vliadly claim to have a mental age of muych more than about 12 anyway.
Mind you, jimi's mental age must be five as he is not in the least bit embarassed at wearing a rubbish hat that his mum obviously forces him to wear on cold days, despite all his mates laughing, and he gets lost on his way to obvious thing like massive big boats that can be seen 10 miles off

sorry, phanakapan. 1959 er yep, 45. No actually - forty six! So, that's late forties, well into the second half, and easily middle age.
Myself i have ,miles to go yet cos i am -19, or er in real life 44....

Hey, you cheeky lot! Actually there's a typo in my biog and I'll only be 36. Honest. (my fingers aren't crossed- much) Any way, I've got the week free then so if anyone needs crew on a boat fancy enough to tempt me away from a Coastal skipper course I'd be interested!

We'll be busy launching our boat then...and if I left him with two kids to mind I think I'd be in trouble!
Some men are sooo unreasonable.
But I like the idea so count me in for next time.

I will be up for this plan. Cornish Maid lives in Haslar nayway, and will have spare berths should anyone be in need. And I only live in Fareham, anyway, bedroom or two available at home. I see the boys are getting their noses in. Cheeky comments about us being able to organise anything without them. Any more cheek, and we won't tell them where their socks, underpants, dinner, booze, shirts, car keys, office (etc) are, will we girls?

My clothes are on the spare bedroom floor ready to go, thankyou Becky. Think it's where I left them last time I returned from the boat, so they should have freshened themselves up again by now.

Count me in. Can't say for sure whether I'll need a berth- actually I'm trying to get up the courage to sail singlehanded from Brighton. If I do, I will have a quarter berth free, and share of the forepeak.

Acshully I thought you were saying that if she got drunk and forgot she had a boyfriend, found a new one, then you would'nt be combing the IoW to get her to the Hamble for 8 am?
