Given East Coasters propensity for going aground and blaming it on shifting banks, doubt anyone will be there on time. Better make a 48 hour window of opportunity, and dig in for the duration! <g>

I've been looking at the Medway. I found myself at Gillingham not so long ago. Theres a slip there that I used. It was somewhat a shock. I didn't know salt water was brown! Is this a reflection on the area in general?

Ahh but we can offer so many shades of brown and once you have seen one lot of gin clear crystal water you have seen em all.

May the mud gods be with us and lift us from our resting places, and may we be delivered to a place of safety where we can indulge in learned discourse.
The dark waters of the Medway are mysterious and know much that is hidden.
We mock the poor souls that can see the sea bed, for they know not what is locked beneath, but become as transparent as the waters they voyage in.
(Told you I've been ill)

Will hopefully be there mid-morning ish.Always listening to Ch 74.Call ( Sara T. )If weather really nice may hang onto commercial bouy at entrance to Stangate( to save all that effort etc )dropping anchor if Medway Rhino not there. If not depending on wind meebe right up top towards Funton or alt in Sharfleet. Was actually joking at the time about the snow comment.

If the wind blows the dandelion seeds away its too rough. Luckily I had the foresight to store some from last summer.
PS the bouy sounds good to me

How will we recognise you Tom? Can you wear a pink carnation in your buttonhole? I think we'll need to tow a floating skip out there full of driftwood and set fire to it to stay warm. Ahh, such places to see, like Dead mans Island, you don't get that sort of exotica down there. They also reckon you can see through the water, whats all that about then, eh! You'll recognise us, I'll be the one shouting at the engines while Cheryl tells me to, well I'm sure you can guess. Al.

"How will we recognise you Tom? " well, just look out for smoke if under way, if on anchor you can spot me throwing the empty beer cans up in the air and using my Uzi to destroy them.

I would like to have a practise but looking at tide table ooops only 4.2 -4.4 meters? I think I need about a minmum of 4.7?
Any way the swmbo only wants to clean the boat because she is hopeing i will sell it ! (no way) What will I do with all this time and money?
yes got the pipe from Ocean leisure in London, having some trouble getting the right fitting but I am sorting sothing out !
I am defintly coming out next weekend not sure if we leave on friday or Saturday?
See you Sunday

Will Mrs Tom be attending as well? Yeh there was virtually no tide up where we are on Sunday, have'nt seen it move so slowly for ages. Cheryl's gonna make some sarnies and stuff so make sure you've got a tender full of Rennies etc. The forecast is it will be at least 25c wall to wall sunshine with barely a ripple on that lovely tea coloured water.... or it might not be.

No, Mrs Tom (Helen) has more sense then that! Probably out shopping, A few mates are coming some even with their own boats! One of them has a mast.
We are planning to get out on Friday lunchtime and anchor in the creek or at Queenbourgh for over night? (Any pointers, nice places to stay?)

Nice to meet you Tom, we'll have to sort out a date to mud slide round Faversham. Got to say you do have a nice vessel there. By the way Cheryl kept going with the Carver until she went to bed a couple of hours after you left! Went to Stangate on Sunday, nobody there! Fred called while we were on our way back and we met up back on the moorings for a lovely tea (and more Carver). Nice brightwork Fred. Nice weekend.
