If we want to bring the Thames to life, why not create an overall masterplan with site briefs at all river sites where we need facilities?

Re: Thames Master Plan
Hi George,
Seems you're right there. Everyone is happier complaining about the system and going to meetings, rather than actually changing it.
People's Popular bloody Front, init!

No tidal Thames alliance
The tidal Thames is where the real problems lie. London, the Thames Gateway, the Olympics...
Not saying the non-tidal so much better protected, as many river groups would confirm.
We need to have a strategic overview of the facilities that we boaters need along the Thames and implementation on a local scale using site briefs, which detail the provision of the needs of the river, based on information supplied by such local groups.
Yes, like the Thames Alliance, but site briefs must be accepted by the mayor.

Re: Thames Master Plan
Life requires people.
We spent 10 happy years based on the Thames, and still miss it, but we were priced out.
If moorings and licence fees returned to affordable levels we would return.John
Sailing is for fun, Engines are for going places.
