I have a meeting next week in Wexford, Ireland. So, methinks, I wonder just how possible / expensive it would be to take the boat. Tack on a nice little cruising holiday afterwards....
Is this completely insane?
Or maybe, more realistic would be road transport to say Dublin. Anybody got a rough idea of costs?

Re: Solent to Ireland?
I Can't Say How Expensive It Will Be But Lands End To Kilmore Quay Is About 8 Hours At 18 Knots .
Wexford Is Not That Good For Bringing Your Boat , But Kilmore Quay Has Great Facilities & A Great Marina.
A Bus Ride Or Taxi Is Under Half An Hour To Wexford Town .
It Would Be A Bit Of A Trip Unless You Were To Have A Bit Of A Holiday While You Were Here

Re: Solent to Ireland?
Suggest 2 legs...
Solent - Falmouth
Falmouth - Kilmore Quay
No real facilities at Wexford Town but local boat club very helpful with pilotage over sand bar (s) and mooring.
I can get you a link if interested.
Diesel available at Kilmore (tanker) just talk to Nicky or Peter at HMs office.Keep your sunny side up :-)

Re: Solent to Ireland?
In an ideal world, with a decent spell of settled weather, I would probably give it go. However.....
Thanks guys for the input but I think I will be flying this time.
Cheers
