    Whats the best wood glue to repair a split in a section subject to high loads from a bow spring?

    I'm no expert but I don't think you can beat properly mixed and thickened epoxy for strength...Iain

    According to Larry Pardey who has built a couple of wooden boats and along with his wife has sailed the world and written quite a few books, resorcinal is best. It is sold in this country as Aerodux 500 by B&K resins, Bromley, Kent.

    Resorcinol is great stuff, as long as your joints are "fag paper fit", but for best gap filling properties, Epoxy.
    If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.
