Anchored in Puilladobhrain many many times when West Coast based and never seen a scrap of kelp yet!. Just lots of black mud where a Bruce worked a treat. Maybe that's because we had a bilge keel baot and could go much further up the anchorage than most.

Anyone used an SL Delta, I have one in the garage but never tried it yet.

I used an SL Delta for many years until I had to cut the chain one day. Sadly it is still at the bottom of Alum Bay.

Certainly for the conditions I use it in it was very good, and in my opinion superior to the Bruce which I replaced it with.

    Regards Nick

Excellent anchor, and half the price of the latest 'new generation' anchors. Slightly less good performer in the many tests but perfectly good for any conditions likely to be encountered in the real world. I have found it to perform less well in the eastern Med but never had a problem with it anywhere else.
