I was told during the weekend that Pwllheli has gone from a consistent two year waiting list for a berth to a "When can you get here?" situation.
Is this so, and is this decline in demand happening elsewhere, or does Pwllheli have a local problem?

Re: Spare parking spaces
Some people I know have been told it is still a 5 year waiting list but they are finding berths for people who actually have boats
m not sure its just a Pwllheli thing or a credit thing but the tidal access is begining to pxss people of, even i have touched the deck a couple of times with less than a metre under me.
They dont seem to be that many empty pontoons for the time of year.

Caernarfon still has a waiting list.
Deganwy has some spaces.
Conwy looks pretty full and there is a mud prob there too.

That's because you have got Mucky Farter in the area, strangely enough the waiting list in Plymouth has increased in recent months!

Dunno what there complaining about. I've already started dredging opperations in Conwy. MF securely moored, then full blast on both engines, not sure whether it's the props that shifts the muck, or the jet effect of the smoke as it leaves the exhaust.
Theres loads of water under her now. However, the boats opposite seem to be sitting on a sand bank.

[/ QUOTE ] I have it on good authority the 'sand bank' is the bodies of dead sea birds killed by the noxious fumes.

I have it on a very good authority that sea bird life in the Plymouth area is flourishing.

Well thats an achivement then, sick of watching folk feed sea gulls in Conwy, taking no notice of the signs. Not that I normally like signs. But watching sea gulls sat on womens heads eating there chips, or swooping down on kids icecreams, needs attention. Back to the plot.
In the normal passage plan, one only needs to hold breath for a few minutes. It's just when Debs is a bit slow on the fendering that life gets unpleasant. When stopped the cloud seems to drift over, adding to the ongoing belch. Like all things at sea, ONE NEEDS TO BE AWARE. Upp's. Every one needs to do a passage plan. Rounding MF requires extra cation. Think I'd better tell the CG's They can put it out in there notices to seamen, MF in position NXYZ WZZZ. A wide berth advised. Cough, cough.
