AFAIK BSX Powerdrive (UK) were bought out by Exide a few years ago and are no longer available although an Exide "equivalent" is

I thought the Bopal incident was caused by a chemical factory owned by Union Carbide.

Roger, If you want flooded batteries that last forever, take a look at http://www.rollsbattery.com/ . They're stocked by http://www.barden-uk.com/. They are discounting them till the end of September. I'm planning on fitting 4 x 27HT90 as the current batteries are on their last legs.

Bhopal, not Bopal (different place) and yes it was Union Carbide.

i have been in contact with barden & battery megastore
i dont think i can justify the trojan 27tmh @ £524.97 for 3 batteries + a starter battery.
i am concidering the megastore ex31 x 4 @ a more reasonable £359.98 total.
as my existing batteries have done almost 9 yrs & similar quality as the ex31s
