I have heard the forecasts on the vhf in Bodrum area, but could not make out the name of the station.
It sounded like Olibia radio, but could have been lybia radio.
We are on the top of a hill (in the apartment not the boat before anyone makes a smart comment) and I get a good signal on the hand held, usually tune in in the evening to check for any surprises for the next days possible sailing.
Wondering who they are and if they have a website that I could look at to check the forecasts too (hopefully we will be on wifi next month in the complex)

Many thanks, must get my ears tested, either that or the operator has a strange accent.

We use the Turkish forecast here: http://www.meteor.gov.tr/2006/englis...seamarine.aspx I think it is better than Poseidon. It also goes into detail for each sea area - if you click on Jason (in the left hand column) you'll see a close up including the Bodrum area. Cheers.

Difficult to tune the VHF into that link though, Liz, even if it is a fancy new-fangled DSC set.
