It is, quite poignant really. Walking along there on sunday with a strong onshore wind one could only guess at the emotions of those who got embayed there in times gone by

Goodness... 2 years with serving at HMS Seahawk (Culdrose) in 1971/1972 and drinking many nights at the Ship Inn in Porthleven, got to know the Inn very well, got to know the inside of the harbour a couple of times when fell in and got thrown in and got to know Porthleven Jane, but never realised there was a 'Wrestling Field'!
Seems that local culture was never foremost on the mind of a youngster! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]
