As a recent recruit to power from the rag and stick brigade, I'm concerned about a rumour regarding diesel duty. A friend who sails is taking the mickey saying that the fuel duty is going to be increased in the near future to forecourt levels.
Does anybody have any idea when or if this is going to happen?

Re: Fuel Duty
and the issue is not our forecort prices but standardisation across the EU. To comply no only would red go but petrol would have to come down about 20p a litre in duty.......can't see HMG doing this too quickly!
EU would not seee the increase in red as a 'win' and it would only piss off people in this country so I am not holding my breath............
