A quick thanks to WC for starting the ball rolling.
It was good to meet up and swap stories and nibbles.
When is the next one?

Thanks Bob, here are the pictures-I'll leave the captions to you...
For the benefit of people who didn't come, the Lake District weather made its presence felt for a bit (we had thunder and lighting, torrential rain, the works), but failed to dampen spirits; although it did put Lakeys BBQ out. So yeh, Im sure that now we know a few more faces we'll end up bumping into each other around the place, and who knows, maybe this will become annual

Thank's for the pic's, we were really pleased to meet all of you.
The rain held off just long enough for me to get one of the extra burgers, thanks, (Julie say's sorry for leaving you holding my plate while she legged it for a dry car).
I have two Pic's I'm reserving for Scuttl of Lakey ;-)
But here's one from that night just before we set off home, a lovely evening.

"Well, that's what it was bloody well designed to do, wasn't it?"

BBQ's in the Lake's - Lessons learned
1/ Put the tent/gazebo up immediately (don't wait till it rains)
2/ Start BBQ ASAP
3/ Close all ships hatches and lift spray hoods before leaving for shore.
I look forward to meeting again

OK, OK, I'm siht at names. I agree with the lessons. Perhaps a 3.00pm start would be a good idea as well.
Not to paint too bleak a picture, it was absolutely lovely - sunny and warm - until about 7.00pm when the cloudburst occurred. Great fun and great to meet some other lake-sailors.
The pictures you have of me can't be any worse than the one of me wearing a gazebo.
I've titivated Matt's piccy, and yes that is a forum burgee on me mast.
