I've just read on the main YBW site that the MCA has contracted with a private company to collect time expired pyrotechnics from coastguard stations in 2010, in order to relieve the pressure on the Ministry of Defence. I thought this would be good news, but the number of collection points has been reduced to 18, and the only location serving the Bristol Channel will be Milford Haven.
I would have thought Swansea or Portishead would have been more logical...
Thoughts??

Yep!
Agree with Jon - Swansea would be ideal.

I don't get the issue with out of date flares. I took mine down to plod in Bristol. They filled in three forms in triplicate (typing with one finger on a typewriter: it only took them 30 minutes) and they were gone. What's the point of bothering the coastguard?
