I need to top up the oil in my windlass (Lofrans Kobra) after some maintenance.
The manual specifies that "longlife SAE 90" oil should be used. So far, I've been unable to source any oil with the word "longlife" on its label. However, I have been able to source Carlube EP80W/90 Hypod Gear Oil which, according to the label, meets API GL-5 specification.
Can anyone advise me if this is the correct oil?

If you think about it, Hypoid sae90 tends to get used in vehicle transmissions and final drives. It normally stays for the life of the vehicle, so it HAS to be "Longlife". Mine has been in my Tigress for nine years now.
