Default Long Range look at weather

Just downloaded the Grib data for next Weds - currently looks like we may get North Easterlies or Easterlies for our crossing over - hopefully South Easterlies for coming back ...
Looks quite light winds at the moment though ....

I will ask Simon if he will to do a cherbourg forecast say next Tuesday to cover his best guess for the return on Sunday.

The more the speculation of good weather now, more the effort will the Gods put into screwing it up for us!

I think the 302 knots will be the count of how many you've tied sitting bored in 5 knots of wind .... !!

This morning Windguru was suggesting 16-20kts SW and this afternoon suggested 5-6kts NW ... wait to see what the morning brings!!

Windguru is showing a weak W wind backing to S on Friday. Some rain in the afternoon. Sunday very weak W wind backing all the way around to ENE, but sunny.

    That's for Barfleur.

Doesn't look too promising for good sailing. Better have full diesel tanks.
