Are there any proper working boat yards, left anywhere in south wales. Are any boat builders still around.
Just a musing.
Thanks

I was thinking of something along the lines of non club/marina just a simple yard maintaining or even possibly building boats.
I was just wondering as there only seems to be either the sailing club or marina options along the coast here, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks

We have developed full boat building capabilities in both Cardiff (and shortly in Swansea) and at our Roath site can build / re-build up to 80 tonnes (Up to 16 tonnes at Cardiff Marine Village). We have recently bolstered the team to include high tech materials etc too. See:

This is the team that recently completed the H2O floating office (now moored in Cardiff Marina). We intend to continue to grow and invest in these capabilities. Bottom line, from architectural drawingswe are able to complete the full cycle frommoulds to completed vessel .
Other than within the group, Dale in Pembrokeshire of course also build new boats.
Hope this helps
