Just had my insurance renewal papers.
Pleased that I have suffered no increases in premium over the years i have owned my current craft.
Until now..........read the papers the bloody Insurance premium tax rose from 5% to 6% on
4th Jan 2011. i somehow missed that whenever it was declared.
At this rate we will all be taxed so much there will be sod all left to spend.
Rant rant!

Yup insured my car before christmas and nobody mentioned the 1% insurance tax increase, then insured the other car in december and had to pay an adjusted amount from January to take account on the increase, dont remember that being in the budget tho

I was so cross when I saw the increase and without reading why got another quote for like with like, found a better deal with better loss terms ie no deductable in home and same co. marinas and no loss of NCB for whatever cause in same locations....
So HMG has prompted me into action - current insurance have the ball now.
