    Default VHF Ch 69

I can understand the fascination of soixante-neuf, however it is an ops channel in the Solent (Cowes Harbour Radio/HM1/2/3, Newport Harbour, Folly Launch, Ratseys, Cowes Yacht Haven Mobile). In France 69 is used by "Centre Régional Opérationnel de Surveillance et de Sauvetage".

Wouldn't it be better to choose one of the regular correspondence channels - 06, 08, 72 or 77?
