Default The Wales Noah\'s Ark Photo-Story

    Dear KIM and Everybody,

Most unfortunately my last notice of appeal was locked (by KIM). The one before was thrown off because of a small minority and yet I could not see how I had done anything wrong. Accordingly, it seems, that I was punished for the quality of the replies, to my asking for help! I wonder if the unswerving sense of fairness on this forum may have gone astray?

To be fair to all of you, KIM especially, you are probably getting sick and tired of the negative comments aimed at yours truly every time I post. So am I. You are also probably getting sick of NOAH and his challenges. So am I.

The end of my situation is not yet in sight but I do know that there are still some on this forum, who still really care. I would like to invite you to visit my Photo-story at the following address, leave a comment or two if you like.

Like it or loathe it, hard work and perseverance are, I am sure, values that all on this forum, do respect.

For the less interested (but nosey) and benefit of the those with a five-second-fish-mentality, who get bored quicker than a two year old, the pictures are mixed up, to show the contrast in the work my wife and I have achieved so far.

Cheer up me hearties, My Family and I may be Homeless for Christmas! Some may not understand me, but I understand myself. If it's back to the land I go, after thirteen years continuous living aboard, and a new 'way of life' for my children, then so be it, but I will always know, that I tried, with the help of a few friends through this forum, to save what I consider to be valuable to both me and my family. A 'way of life' is a precious thing, would you give up yours so easily?

    Regards,

    Noah.

    KIM LOCK'EM OUT QUICK!

I looked at your photographs. It's difficult to believe that people don't want your classic vessel in front of their houses, isn't it?

I think it makes a real impression on an otherwise dull and average marina.

And in no way stands out. Noah, I am sorry, but I did feel sorry for you when reading your posts about eviction, but I am sorry, having seen the pictures of your house on an old hull, I think they have a point.

I am sure if you had kept her lines and used marine windows etc the problem would not exist, but yee gods man....

Thank you Kim for not locking this one.
I, like Jools, felt very sorry for you and your young family but having waded through your photos i can see that Penarth would like its sanity back.
Please, please, please do not come to Barcelona. The blocks of flats called cruise ships are a big enough blot on the landscape already around here but at least they look a little bit like boats. Yours is just a floating shed!!!!!!!!!
As for paying £20 for a large photo then unless you are trying to put MOL into an early grave I cant see any reason for it.
Sorry Noah but you did ask for opinions.

I liked the caption "Blending in at Penarth" - very appropriate.

Sorry to hear about you being evicted. I did in fact write to Penarth at one point suggesting they re-consider. Course I have now seen the picture...

As you say beauty is in the eye of teh beholder, and the boat has lovely lines, except for the thing on top.

Can I ask what possessed you to do that?

We have a Sole Bay ketch and I thought hte pilot house on her was a bit boxy, but my god... it looks like a portacabin sorry...

As I see it you have a couple of options.. try and find a mooring on a river somewhere... there are things that look like yours moored up on the Thames and on the canals.

Second buy some land and drop her into a pit and live in her on land....

By teh way how does she handle? windaghe must be enormous and you are going to need a huge amount of power to push her along I suspect.

I guess the third option is to try again but maybe try and consider a more traditional shape... I.e get shot of the shed and live below decks
