Mermaid Quay Pontoons

For some reason and I don't know why I decided to visit the pay and display pontoons at the Pierhead today instead of my usual (graving dock).

The pontoons were in one hell of a state with lots of seagull guano covering the decking. Very poor show CHA . . . you have a cheek charging for facilities in such poor condition!

They get cleaned every friday whether they need it of not

Well, they are Welsh Gulls and maybe they were getting ready for a certain Irish ref to officiate in the next Blues home game.

Have to agree, last time we were there - Sept this year, they were minging.
I had to wash the bottom of my shoes before boarding my boat!
And why have some of the pontoons been taken away?
And yes, I started two sentences with an "and!"

I stopped there after a single handed night passage just for ease of getting milk etc in the morning and was charged 10 quid.What for?

When was that, and why did you pay?I dont think they even check tickets anymore due to lack of manpower.

I always pay - but not a tenner. I don't think its unreasonable to pay to visit the pontoons. Would be better if they were cleaner

It was after the swog race at swansea, i got there early morning and got charged at about 10am.
