A friend recently bought a rib made about 1984 fitted with a six cylinder Volvo turbo engine. I have been trying to figure out which one but can't find any plates on it. Any suggestions where to look or what it is?

Looks like a TAMD 60,
Engine number will be either on the block infront of oil filters or on block above fuel pump.Last edited by aquapower; 07-11-11 at 19:08.

I've stopped drinking water .... I have seen what it does to the bottom of our boat!

Thanks, next time I see it I will have an idea where to look.
It is about 8m aluminium, ex rig rescue boat. It does have a jet drive. Seems to sit about 20kn (no instrumentation yet) in pretty well anything, not terribly uncomfortable either. Impressive boat.
