frankly, i don't buy the 'greater awareness', nor the 'boats that size don't have a speedo' - try those excuses on dibble next time you're stopped for speeding or dangerous driving.

You'll have to come for a sail then ... my dinghy doesn't have a 'speedo' nor is it allowed one (whilst racing) - but it would be handy ...

but i'm glad you agree that 15knots in a 2 ton yacht is stupid.

I didn't say that 15 knots in a 2 ton yacht is stupid - only that I don't condone doing that speed in occupied tightly packed moorings ..
