I need to display a courtesy flag, I wanted to use the pulpit but can't seem to find a UK supplier of a stainless jackstaff that would also double for an anchor ball, can anyone help?
TIA
Rob

An anchor ball could easily be used on the "pole". Get one of those fold flat ones, cut a cross in a short length of plastic tube and slot the assembled ball into the tube, then drop the tube over the pole.

Best to custom make it and get it welded to the pulpit
I definitely don't want to start a flag etiquette discussion (!!) but c/flag normally goes on starboard mast/cross trees/radar-tower/vhf aerial

Yep jfm is right on the flag location.
I find the fold flat ball is easy to stow and i have mine on a elect conduit pipe the base fits nicely into the winch hole in the ford capstan drum and the ball is held by a couple of conduit pipe clips
