Not a Costa ship, but back in 2010 the Carnival Splendor suffered total propulsion failure due to one engine/generator failure (out of six). I don't know if this Costa ship has the same arrangement of engines and electric propulsion.

I'm off on a cruise next week to the Red Sea. What should I pack in my survival pack? I already have of a life raft and a primus stove on my list, can anyone think of any other vital kit?
