A coach carrying British school children on a ski holiday also crashed in France recently, fortunately only one death. It was the school where my best mate's daughters go, and it's only by chance that they didn't go on the ski trip this time, as they've been in previous years. Last year my mate went as an assistant, and shared a room with the teacher who died in the crash.

The moral of the story is to buy a boat and not worry too much about the cost, as you never know when your number's up.

in 2010 I posted on here the story of a small fishing boat purchase in Conwy (Beneteau 620) for my favourite uncle,
that we trailed all down to Calpé / Moraira in Spain,
He enjoyed that boat for just one short season,

I now have contact details for the ex Victron guy who has a marine electrics business near Split. He's English and will be able to help me out. I'll certainly show him your drawing

tell him there are two OMRON K8AB-VS monitoring relais + a few standard relais inside the box, this might give him a clue how it works.

I'm convinced that such a box would be a solution for you,
the victron might be a nice addition,
but believe me, with just the Victron and one 16A line, you don't get a solution !!!

Even if you can cope with the start current from your airco compressor, you have little to no spare power for other equipment.
If you start using more energy from the Victron's power assist function, very quickly your battery's will be empty,
and after that, you will need most of the 16Amps, for recharging the battery's. And then you're even further from home (a Belgium saying )

I'm a fan of Victron, we use them since many years in professional applications (radio OB Vans) aswell as in all my previous boats,
good reliable products, good service from the factory,
but you can't expect them to "generate" energy if supply is limited.

In my eyes, the "power assist" fuction has little to no use in a boat,
perhaps only to cope with a motor "start" current.

Bit puzzled by that. Would you not tend to reverse into a mooring with a short finger in which case, why wouldn't you use the bathing platform to get off the boat?

She is a stock boat and didn't have the B & O setup which I had on the SQ55 which was amazing. I will see how I get on with the AV this year and update it over the Winter.
