River Deben, east bank upstream of the Ramsholt Arms, looking upriver? Not sure what's coming out of the sluice though! Looks like slurry...

Looks like HM Coastguard mud rescue practice.
A few safety rules being breached, if so.....

Apparently, this was a real shout.
A 70 yr old woman was up to her waist in mud. She was walking her dogs in January 2011.
The location is below the cliffs, close to the Naze tower.
Seems the lads did a grand job and all was well. The mud was particularly soft because of the sea defence workings on the 'Crag'. I think it took about an hour to sort things out.It is never too late to have a happy childhood. Buy a boat.
