Ive started using an iPad to view this forum, and I have a couple of suggestions to make the forum compatible:
Reduce the with of the blue banner at the top of the screen, it causes the whole page to shrink.
Make the page navigation buttons larger.

The blue banner expands to fill the available space depending on what screen size and resolution you are viewing on, it doesn't actually change much of the available text display.
Changing things to suit the iPad in particular will cost money - for instance, which iPad, the 1and2 have different resolution to 3, and then there are a multitude of other tablets, and netbooks, and smartphones, as well as different screen sizes and resolutions of 'normal computers'.

Double tap the text in the post boxes and everything resizes and is hunkydory
Reverse pinch (forgot the apple word) and the corner with the page nav numbers and they get big enough for even the fattest fingers to tap.
I also find it easier to view if the iPad is in it's landscape orientation
Also if you tap the top of the screen above the browser window you'll fly back to the top of the pageBoaty Photographer http://grahamsnook.com

But you still can't flit easily from post to post, especially with Ipad where there is no "next post" short cut work around.
I spose some time IPC will move to embrace all the new tech that's about.

browsing on my ipad doesn't look any different from using a computer and all the same functionality is there. What button are you missing?

Next/previous buttons, only at bottom of threads, my idiosyncratic way of reading the forum makes this a pain.
There is a work around in IE and chrome but not in Ipad Safari.

ah, so you are talking about something external to ybw. The forum works exactly as 'intended' on ipad in reality.

As a result when on iPad I visit the forum far less often which cannot be good for viewing figures.
iPads and similar devices are approaching the sort of critical mass which will necessitate a major change in the way forums and sites generally will work and present themselves.
