Hi,
I have purchased a Seamaster 17 cub as a project and have a number of issues I need help with if any one can help.
There is a hole to the front of the hull that seems to be a perfectly drilled hole, I am unsure if I need to repair this or there is a reason it is there.
I also need to identify the engine so I can get a wiring diagram for the loom so I can get it running.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

This forum is for folks who drive container ships and the like, not 17 foot pleasure boats

Try asking in the Practical Boat Owner forum.

I suggest that we need a few more details please. Any engine markings or numbers ?
What's the size of the hole at the front ?I think, therefore I am. I am, therefore I sail.

Sorry prv I didn't notice I was in the wrong thread.
Hi sarabande, I have not yet been able to find any markings of any sort I'm afraid. The hole is about 8mm.
Thanks for getting back my questions.

ENGINE
If you post a picture of the engine someone should be able to ID it.

If you put a bit more in your Bio, you might even get a fellow Forumite to come and assist you. Engine wiring is very easy.

Having said that, you are probably on South Georgia or the South Sandwich Isles?
I don't think you will "get" a wiring loom, it will have to me made up to suit your requirements.
ps: the 8mm hole in the front might even be a drainage hole for an anchor chain locker?
pps: Welcome to the Forums.
