A sling box it is then , however , none of you have addressed the fundamental issue , is it possible to have some filter to remove the opportunity to watch garbage?

I use TVCatchup on iPhone and I know it can be used on iPad.. Full freeview channels.

Er - yes you can ... there's even a BBC iPlayer app ...
Although to watch the Beeb from abroad you're going to need a UK presence - normally done through a VPN
Other methods include the slingbox - but I'm not sure what they're like
Er ... perhaps I should read the whole thread before replying to the first reply!
