I was talking to a West Mersea duck punt racer today - apparently they have 20 of them there now.
He wishes he'd met you.........

they do seem like nice blokes
they seem like a group of high energy blokes with a good range of ages
and I am not sure if you have noticed but they are all surprisingly fit
it is because of the patent duck punt abs routine
not sure if I have mentioned this before but
build a duck punt chaps
you could be having as much fun as these blokes

It also looks like a coffin.......Brass or Gold fittings?
Sailed a canoe once, didn't rate it, way too tender and had a habit of turning turtle...
I'll stick to dingies and yachts

aha
but you make the mistake of thinking of this as a canoe
a canoe is designed for paddling
this is designed for sailing
did you watch the film from west mersea
did those boats look tender
mine has never come close to capsizing - unless of course you are saying that I am an exceptionally gifted young man

Pushing the boat out a little there......young! 'Tis true the canoe that I sailed wasn't designed as a sailing canoe. In fact it was a real faff mucking about with lee boards etc. I watched the video you mention, looked very idylic. It'd be interesting to see what it would be like in a bit of a breeze. It may be me, but most of the punt sailing vids seem to be in gentle/light airs.
Still looks like a coffin though.........
