Navionics have made their iPad charts available again but they are getting poor reviews with people saying they don't work and are 'buggy'.
The price has increased too to around £50.
Has anyone had any better experience using these upgrades?

There's already a thread somewhere about this - look like it's an issue for iPad 3 users.

IPad 3 issues
Thanks for that. Although not totally clear there does seem to be an issue with iPad 3 usage. I may wait until it is sorted out. Thank you.

I have it and it works well on ipad3 only issue is the fuel consumption at 3.8l/h. GPS works well and is as accurate as others I have tried it against, and they are professional ones.

Perhaps I'm being too picky then . . .

I have it on an Ipad 3. Resolution is good all functions apart from the LPH work fine. My only comment is that the Iphone version that I imported from my phone seems to work just as well.

Works fine for me as a backup and GPS is surprisingly accurate.

Just used the Navionics app on my iPad 2 for our crossing to Jersey Boat Show - it was a joy to use and worked perfectly. Tidal flow information was invaluable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Navionics it is then!
Steve,
Thanks for that. Mixed opinions here, maybe related to use of iPad2 or iPad3. We have a new iPad3 but although some people have reported problems I think we'll take the plunge.
Enjoy Jersey and say Hi to Richard for us.

From what little I have seen noone has actually found a real problem. There have been operator errors, but I am not aware of any issues, apart from the LPH thing. Minor really, as is only a bit of mental arithmetic. That's not a bug anyway, it's an inconvenience.
I have iPad 3 and have found nothing wrong at all.I may be wrong, but I'm not confused.
