I have watched the Crusader thread with some sadness and do feel that an injustice has been done to the company
sailors can indeed be tough customers - demanding, capricious - some seem to be in a permananent state of rage. That is from the perspective of a bloke who just makes inconsequential films and runs a website about sailing
the bad top line is compounded by people seeking to defend the company and lengthening the thread
headlines are powerful things
I have only ever had very minor dealings with them and have never paid £3,700 for a sail
in fact up until last week I had not even paid that much for a boat
so despite me being small beer I I found their staff to be lovely, knowledgeable and quick - the price was as quoted
the sails arrived when the company promised they would
I would use them again and again and again

Good company, good film. The thread complaining about Crusader started out factual and even handed and descended into a bitching session.

To be fair the Op of the other thread did say he had tried to modify the thread title to reflect the outcome but couldn't do so because of the length of time the thread had been running.
Considering how quickly some threads get pulled by the admins one would have thought that something could be done about that situation by them.. ?

I deliberately ignore threads when all I know about a firm is hearsay, but the hearsay I have heard about Crusader has always ben very good. I've approached them for quotes a couple of times and they always come back very quickly. I used one of their sails in a regatta once and it was good, looked bombproof, was perhapsa it heavilly built for the purpose but then think that is what the owner wanted.

So if a supplier gives bad service (as they clearly did here by not communicating) and someone makes it public then they are doing the company an injustice?
You now take it on yourself you try to right this perceived injustice.
Good luck with that project!
Welcome to the Internet.I may be wrong, but I'm not confused.

Got a nice giveaway bag, made from sailcloth, from them once at a boatshow, my granddaughter used it for school, her mates were well impressed.
